When extra amplification is needed, dial-up your cajon volume and mix your tone with the Meinl pickup cajons. The Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Bass Cajon is equipped with passive Piezo pickups for both snare and bass tone. It comes with a volume and tone knob so you can find your perfect mix. A quarter-inch cable jack allows you to send your signal through any amp or PA system (cables not included). Additionally, this cajon is equipped with a quarter-inch “link” jack where can link other Meinl passive pickup instruments through this cajon’s system and control their output with the cajon’s dials. This eliminates the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup. Ideal for any plugged-in outdoor show, large venue or intimate acoustic coffee house set, the Meinl Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Cajon is extraordinarily versatile for any setting. Inside this cajon is a bass reflex system that directs sound waves and air through different channels before projecting out from the large, forward-facing vertical sound ports. This gives the frequencies more time to develop inside the body of the cajon, resulting in ultra-low, enhanced bass waves. Think of it as a mechanical subwoofer. Constructed with a Baltic birch frontplate and durable MDF body that produces a punchy, warm sound with depth and sensitivity. Internal fixed sets of snare wires (the same type found on snare drums) are fitted against the playing surface to produce a snare sound that complements the cajon’s natural bass notes. Great for finger rolls, deep back beats or brush patterns. This extra-wide cajon measures 15 ½” W x 19 ¼” H x 11 ¾” D.
Vertical ports with internal bass reflex — an internal reflex channel directs sound waves and air through vertical forward-facing ports to create extra-deep bass notes — the tone will surround you as you play and project toward your audience
Fixed sets of snares — dual sets of internal fixed snare wires are positioned against the playing surface to add the dimension of a crisp snare drum sound — get a cutting backbeat snare tone by playing near the top corners of the playing surface
Internal passive Piezo pickups — when you need amplification, this cajon is equipped with Piezo pickups and a 1/4″ jack to boost your signal through an amplifier or PA system — control tone and volume with the knobs on the side panel (cables not included)
Includes link jack — a 1/4″ link jack allows you to link other Meinl passive pickup instruments through the cajon’s system and control their output with the cajon’s dials — this eliminates the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup
Extra-large size — coming in at 15 ½” W x 19 ¼” H x 11 ¾” D, the body of this cajon is oversized to add even more low end thump — with ample room for bass frequencies to develop inside, you get a nice wallop with plenty of boom behind it
Baltic birch frontplate with modern composite body, black — the Baltic birch playing surface along with modern composite body dish out cutting slap tones, deep bass and respond to soft finger rolls or brush playing
Four solid silicone feet — on the underside of the cajon are four solid silicone feet formulated to eliminate unwanted vibrations while protecting the cajon body from scratches on virtually any surface
