Match GroupThe company, which owns Tinder and OK Cupid, launched a new dating app Monday aimed at helping single parents find love.

The company, which owns more than a dozen dating apps, including Hinge, said the app, called Stir, is designed to connect among 20 million single parents in the US.

Single parents “often underserved in common dating practices” Match Group said in a statement.

“Having kids shouldn’t be something that breaks deals when dating,” said Dinh Thi Bui, vice president of New Verticals. Match Group, he said in a broadcast. “We are committed to providing single parents with a dating experience where they are celebrated and feel like they can be themselves. With that, we hope they can really focus on having a personal life beyond parenthood.”

Stir tries to take away some of the hassles of dating as a single parent. According to the company, 27% of single parents say their coordinating schedules are keeping them from attending appointments.

The app includes a scheduling feature called Stir Time. Users put their schedule on their profile to easily coordinate dates with possible matches.

“Going on a date for coffee at 9 a.m. after leaving school might be more appealing to a single parent than a fancy dinner,” she said.
