LONDON (AP) — Elon Musk said Friday that the $44 billion Twitter purchase on the social media platform is “temporarily suspended” pending details about spam and fake accounts.
Another twist came after signs of internal turmoil came amid the Tesla billionaire’s planned buyout from the company, including Twitter’s firing of two of its top executives on Thursday.
It was unclear whether the fake account issue could break the deal.
