Conservative Christian radio host Erick Erickson said on Saturday that his Twitter account was suspended because of a tweet in which he identified New Zealand trans weightlifter Laurel Hubbard as a man.

Twitter’s hateful behavior policy prohibits tweets that “incite violence, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious belief, age, disability, or serious illness.” .

Mr Erickson objected to the suspension and said “it is worth noting that I did not incite violence, threaten or harass anyone”.
“I didn’t even tag Laurel Hubbard in my tweet,” she said. “I just stated the simple fact that Laurel Hubbard is a man. It’s an expression of the fundamental biological truth that Twitter and Wokes object to.”
He also said that he will likely delete the tweet so that the suspension is lifted.
“They’re going to ask me to delete that tweet to get back on Twitter. Career-wise, it’s probably necessary,” said Mr. Erickson. “But I’m not sure I want it.”
