TikTok bans viral ‘milk chest challenge’ videos

TikTok has started banning videos that show the newly popular so-called “milk crate challenge” in which someone dangerously tries to climb up and down stairs made of plastic milk crates.

A TikTok spokesperson said on Saturday, “TikTok bans content that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts, and to discourage such content, we remove videos and redirect searches to our Community Guidelines.” Said.

Searches on TikTok for “milk box challenge” and related terms now return zero results.

Videos showing people trying the milk crate challenge have become extremely popular recently on social media services including TikTok and others, and some clips have been viewed or shared millions of times.
