We have always enjoyed the work we do together. The two of us could go out and work with leaders and help build the organization. It would definitely be the best thing for the foundation.”
For most of the interview, Mr Cooper asked Mr Gates for his views on the state of the pandemic. Mr. Gates praised the effectiveness and mass production of Covid-19 vaccines, but expressed concern about how easily the Delta variant of the coronavirus could spread.
“We wanted to be closer to the end than we were,” he said, “but Delta’s news is very bad.”
